🔵 I’m in the air

Hey Reader,

I'm in the air (quite literally).
As you're reading this, I'm somewhere between Europe and Bali, doing my seasonal migration back to the island :)

So this letter isn’t really about business.
But then again… everything in life is connected.

How we are with ourselves in one place tends to get reflected in another (life’s a mirror).

I always get this nostalgic feeling when I’m leaving places (which happens a lot).

You know that strange space when something is ending and something new is about to begin? The bridge.

For me, there’s something about being on that bridge that makes me look in both directions.

⇢ I look back at everything that’s happened.
⇢ And then I look ahead at everything that might happen.

Which means I very conveniently skip the bit in the middle. The Now.

And I’ve realised I do this in other parts of my life too. I’m very good at moving.

Onto the next idea.
The next goal.
The next thing I want to create.

Last week I signed three new clients. Woohoo. A win.
And I am genuinely excited about the work we’re going to do together and the things they’re moving towards.

But the thing is… I didn’t really celebrate myself.
In fact, I can’t even remember the last time I celebrated myself for anything, really.

I acknowledged it… “Yay, three new clients.”
And immediately moved on. The next thing.

I caught myself in the pattern and I shared it with my sister… and she asked me: “How would you be if you did celebrate yourself?”

What would it feel like?
What would the sensations be?

And I kept coming back to that question.

For me, it’s lightness. Joy. My body full of excitement… just really having a moment with the win… before I start reaching for the next thing.

And maybe that’s the bit I’ve been missing. Celebration isn’t necessarily a thing I need to do.

I don’t need champagne.
Or big party with it.

Maybe celebration is letting a win land. Pausing in it for moment.
Feeling the joy of something I’ve created, done, changed or moved through before my brain goes… “Cool. What’s next?”

Because otherwise we’re always moving… but never really arriving.

So that’s my little reflection from somewhere in the sky this Friday.

And perhaps one for you too…

What is your flavour of celebration?

Not externally.
Internally.

How does it feel in your body when you’re really proud of yourself?
When something lands?
When you let yourself have the win?

Can you access a little bit of that feeling… right now?

Maybe pick one thing from this week. Big. Small. Mundane. Whatever. And just let yourself have it for a minute :)

Business Inside Out

Business isn't really about business. It's one of the greatest mirrors we have. The clearer we become internally...the clearer our businesses become externally.

Since we’re on this streak, I thought I might as well add one more piece to the puzzle.Systems.One of my favourite parts of business. I know some of you might immediately think…“I’m just not good at systems.”“I’m not a tech person.”“I’m too disorganised for all of that.”But what if you’re not bad at systems? What if you just haven’t built one around YOU yet?One that works with the way you think. One that makes your life...

Palm tree and moon with text - where is your time actually going

Hey Reader,Happy September :) Not sure about you, but I love this time of year. There is something about September that feels like a new kind of motion. Summer is winding down. The witchy season is approaching. And there are still four whole months left to move some things forward before the year is done. So this week we’re continuing with the practical side of business.Let’s talk about time. Or more specifically… What are you actually doing with the hours you have?Time management is one of...

Hey Reader,As much as I love writing about our internal growth, we also can’t forget about the external. So this week we’re getting extra practical 💃 Quick story first…I had a coaching session with a new client recently and as she was sharing where she is in her business, we started gathering the bigger picture. What does she want to build? Who does she want to work with? What is she selling? How is she planning to get it out there? And somewhere in the conversation she mentioned that she was...
