Whenever business feels hard, our instinct is to look for the answer in one place.
And sometimes it’s the wrong one.

If we zoom out and look at business from a bird’s-eye view, there are only two places where our next breakthrough is hiding.
​
​Internal… or External.
​
​The internal sounds something like:
​
⇢ “I’m not ready.”
​⇢ “What if people judge me?”
​⇢ “Maybe I’m just not good enough.”
​
​The external sounds different:

⇢ “I don’t know what I should focus on next.”
​⇢ “My offer doesn’t feel right.”
​⇢ “My business feels messy.”
​⇢ “I need a better strategy.”
​
​None of these are wrong. They’re all part of the process. But if we want to grow, we eventually need to address them.
​
​The interesting part is that we often look for an external solution to an internal problem.
​
​Let me explain…
​
Good example would be my client (let’s call her A). When we first met, she was constantly looking for the next thing.
​
Another course.
Another masterclass.
Another group programme.
​
On the surface, it looked like she was doing everything right. She was investing in herself. Learning… which often feels like taking action.
​
But the revenue wasn’t moving.
​
She believed she had an external problem. That somewhere out there was one more strategy that would finally unlock the next level. Or one more piece of knowldge she needs before she can move.
​
As we started working together, something else became obvious.
​
As you might have guessed... the courses weren't the problem.
​Instead they'd become a safe place to hide.​
​
And underneath all those clever excuses was a fear of rejection.
A fear of being seen.
A fear of finally putting herself out there before she felt completely ready.
​
Once we could see that clearly, things started to change. And the way A moved inside her business changed with it.
​
And I’ve seen the opposite too.
​
Founders spending years working on themselves…
Reading books. Meditating. Journaling. Waiting for the day they finally feel “ready.”… or “aligned”.
​
When what they actually need is a clear offer, a simple client acquisition system and someone to help them see where to focus next.
​
​ That’s why I never separate business from the person building it.
​
​Because every challenge sits somewhere between those two worlds.
​
⇢ Sometimes we’re missing strategy.
⇢ Sometimes we’re carrying a story.

Most of the time…
It’s a little bit of both.
